2009 SDCC Bell Technology Award Winner

The Middlesex County Library Board's IT Department is the proud recipient of  the  Strathroy District Chamber of Commerce Bell Technology Award for 2009. 

This award is given to a business that has improved performance and customer satisfaction while enhancing public awareness through the use of innovative communication technologies. 

The library technology projects recognized include: 

• providing wireless internet access at library branches

• providing wireless internet access in the Strathroy library reading garden

• Interactive library website which includes:
       - downloadable audio books
       - searchable databases
       - online research assistance
       - access to patron's library accounts to review status, place holds,
          & renew materials

The award was presented to Board Chair Ian Brebner at the gala award banquet on September 24, 2009.
