Branch History

The first library was formed in 1903.  Over the next 20 years it was housed in rented rooms in various homes.  Komoka Library was closed in January 1961, so it was not one of the original Middlesex County libraries in 1963.

When the Community Centre was completed in 1978 space was rented by the County Library to establish a branch there, which opened in October 1978.

In September 2011 the branch moved to the new Komoka Wellness and Recreation Centre.  The facility is managed by the Municipality of Middlesex Centre and includes a YMCA.
